As a follow up to the recent developments in Frankfort, the Thoroughbred Daily News interviewed EquiLottery’s Brad Cummings to get his point of view on the future of the game in Kentucky…
“We’re just really thrilled to see that there are some leaders in Frankfort that have stepped up and want to see innovation take place in the horse industry,” Cummings commented (referring to State Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer and State Representative David Osborne.) “There would be no better and quicker and easier fit than Kentucky for EquiLottery.”
…and also talked about the early momentum he’s experienced in the first few days.
“I expected there to be industry buy-in, although not nearly to the degree that we’ve gotten it. What I’m more pleased about is that lotteries are looking at the concept and saying “this is not just a good product for the racing industry, it’s a good lottery product.”
